Catherine Hardwicke has been let go from the upcoming Summit Entertainment project of "New Moon", the next installment in the Twilight phenomenon. Personally, I think this can only help the movie to portray a more professional look, unlike the very "indie" vibe that Hardwicke brought to the table. Sources have not released who the next director will be to take on New Moon, but hopefully like the Harry Potter movies (the series in which Twilight is often compared), the Twilight movie chain will only get better.

The movie is expected to release late 2009, early 2010... a long wait for Twilighters.

Many Twilight fans already know every quote, every character, and every event of the series, but those of you that are new to the phenomenon may want to check out the cast of the movie based on the successful vampire saga. You'll find a great fan site for each by clicking on the actor or actresses name, you'll find a great fan site for each. Happy Twilighting!
